Karnataka Examination Authority 2019

kcet 2019KEA( Karnataka Examination Authority ) will be conducting KCET 2019 for engineering and other science courses in 2019. KCET 2019 application form is expected to be released in the first week of February 2019. Although there is no announcement yet but it is anticipated that KEA will announce the official date of application form and exam in November, 2018. KCET 2019 will have 2 papers – Paper 1(Mathematics) and Paper 2(Physics and Chemistry).  

This year, admission form will be available online unlike last year when it was both offline and online. Admission will be given on the basis of marks obtained in the test through online mode. Read this article to know the most important details about KCET 2019. 

About KCET 2019

KEA has been conducting KCET for admission in engineering and other graduate level professional courses. The mode of examination is offline and the duration is 4 hours, 1 hour 20 minutes for each of the subject.

Eligibility Criteria for KCET 

There are few eligibility criteria that candidates need to meet in order to get the admission in KCET colleges.

  • Nationality of the Candidate should be Indian. 
  • Candidate’s parent should be citizen of Karnataka for more than 7 years or the candidate should have studied from a institute recognized in Karnataka. 
  • The Candidate must have passed their 12th boards with physics, chemistry and maths as their compulsory subjects. He/she must have also studied English as the core subject. 
  • He/she should have passed with 45% marks in 12th. SC/ST/OBC should have at least the score of 40% in 12th. 

 All the documents will be verified during the time of counselling, failing which candidates won’t have access to admission even if they clear KCET 2019. 

KCET 2019 APPLICATION FORM 

KCET 2019 Application Form will supposed to be released in 1st week of February. It will be available on the official website of KEA till the 3rd week of March.  

Candidates who are willing to apply for KCET will have to fill the form with the right information. Incorrect or incomplete application will be rejected by KEA. Application form will cost 600 INR for general/OBC category and 500 for SC/ST. Mode of Payment will be both online and offline(e-challan). No refund will be issued. 

KCET 2019 Admit Card 

KCET 2019 Admit Card will be available in the second week of April on KEA official website i.e, http://kea.kar.nic.in  . Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website. 

 Why KCET 2019 Admit card is Important 

  • Without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed in the exam hall. 
  • Admit card will be needed in the admission procedure. 
  • Admit card works as a Identity of the candidate. 

KCET 2019 Syllabus 

KCET 2019 Syllabus will be released online. Its syllabus will be divided into first year PUC and second year PUC. However, as KEA hasn’t released the KCET 2019 syllabus yet, candidates can take the reference of last year syllabus 

Exam Pattern and Important Advice

 KCET 2019 will consist 180 questions. Candidates will be given 4 hours to finish the test.

Tips for KCET 2019 

  1. Solve as many sample papers as possible 
  1. Thoroughly study the 11th and 12th syllabus 
  1. When completed, Solve previous year question papers 
  1. Think positively  

KCET 2019 Result 

KCET 2019 Result will be released in the first week of June. Candidates can find their results through the official website by entering their registration number. Karnataka Examination will also release the cut off list for the seat allotment, once result is declared. Candidates must keep the copy of a result until the admission procedure is finished.

KCET 2019 Counselling 

KCET counselling will occur in the second week of June 2019. Counselling process includes verification of documents and allotment of seats on the basis of marks obtained in the KCET. Candidates can take part in other rounds of counselling if he/she wants. For the date and place of counselling, do visit official upside and be updated.
